Girls! Girls! Girls! Girls! Boys!

5 Teletext pages

The work explores the image in the age of the internet using an older broadcasting technology: Teletext, the Television information retrieval service. Although their capabilities clearly differ, by almost being a precursor to the internet, our nostalgic recollections of Teletext serve to remind us of the early promise of the internet.

Five Teletext art pages originally created for the International Teletext Art FestivalITAF2015 – broadcast for a month on ARD Text, ORF TELETEXT and ORF III TELETEXT, Swiss Text and arte Teletext and presented at Deep Space 8K at Ars Electronica 2015.

The work was also part of Ars Electronica 2021 Hong Kong Garden.

It was also included in the Museum of Telext Art 7th anniversary exhibition MUTA7, broadcast on YLE (Finnish Broadcasting Company) TeleText from November 2021 to January 2022.
